KeepTraK Corporation was founded by Gerald (Jerry) Critchfield in the 1980s. Prior to starting his own business, Jerry learned to write coding at RCA, then later worked at the Rocky Mountain Newspaper as a maintenance manager.
While working at the Rocky Mountain Newspaper, Jerry wrote code for a database/program to keep track of the Preventive Maintenance procedures. Later he developed a program for Maintenance Requests and Logs (also referred to as Work tickets, reactive maintenance, repair tickets). Then he wrote another program for Parts Inventory and parts tracking which included Purchase Orders. After he retired from the newspaper KeepTraK was made more generic to cover the needs of a wide range of applications. The usefulness of KeepTraK was later enhanced by adding reporting for agencies and audits for ISO 9000, ISO 9001, FDA, SQF, JAHCO etc.
Through the years, improvements have been made as technology got better and customers provided feedback on what they considered useful in a CMMS program. KeepTraK was designed to be user-friendly, simple, and useful, without overwhelming and slowing down busy maintenance workers.
We like to say the “Purpose of KeepTraK is to save you time and money not give you something else to do.” We invite you to request a free 30-day trial of our KeepTraK Program to see how KeepTrak can save you money and time.
